Material and Performance of Idlers
Steel idler rollers
Characteristics: high strength and low cost, but prone to corrosion.
Application: General industrial settings.
Nylon idler roller
Features: wear-resistant, self-lubricating, antistatic, and corrosion-resistant; service life is 3–5 times that of metal idlers.
Applications: High-corrosion environments such as mining, ore dressing, and chemical processing.
Fiberglass Roller
Features: lightweight, smooth surface, low coefficient of friction, and excellent water- and dust-proof, flame-retardant, and antistatic properties.
Applications: High-humidity, high-dust, or flammable and explosive environments, such as salt works and phosphate fertilizer plants.
Ceramic idler roller
Features: corrosion-resistant, wear-resistant, and oxidation-resistant, effectively preventing belt misalignment.
Applications: Highly corrosive chemical and metallurgical industries.
Plastic roller
Features: corrosion-resistant, wear-resistant, and low-noise.
Applications: Places with stringent noise requirements, such as food processing.
